Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mrs. Mary Jeanette Moore Richards, age 82, of Tiger, Georgia who entered rest Thursday, September 4, 2025. Mrs. Richards was born in Blue Mountain, Alabama, a daughter of the late Carson W. and Sophia Lambert Moore. Mrs. Richards was a registered nurse, business owner, homemaker, and a member of the Mountain City Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Jack Richards.
Jeanette is survived her daughters, J. Michelle Chervoni, of New Brockton, Alabama, Carole E. O’Connor ( Steven ), of Greenwood, Florida, and S. Suzanna Richards, of Tiger, Georgia; brother, Hurcel Moore ( Helen ), of Anniston, Alabama, sister, Judy Hurst, of Alexandria, Alabama; grandchildren, Joshua and Jeremy Manning, Joseph, R. J., and Zachary Chervoni, Jason, Cati O’Connor Saavedra, and Sammy O’Connor, two great grandchildren, Cierra and Miya Saavedra.
Memorial services will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, September 6, 2025, from the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 176 Shepherd Street, Mountain City, Georgia. With Scot Roberge officiating.
