Mary Anne Robinette McNamee, 77, passed away peacefully at her home on April 4, 2025.
Mary Anne was born in Pikeville on May 16, 1947 to the late Toney and Nettie Robinette.
She is survived by her loving husband, Gerald McNamee, daughter Shannon Smith Avason (Ryan Bare) of Denver, NC, sons Byron Smith (Elyssa Smith)of Los Angeles, CA, Robert Smith (Toni Smith) of Lexington, KY, step sons Patrick McNamee (Nicole McNamee), Chris McNamee (Jeri Lynne McNamee), Dan McNamee (Nikki McNamee) all of Pikeville, Tim McNamee (Nicole McNamee)of Williamson, WV, and Joe McNamee (Joanna McNamee) of Boston, MA. She is also survived by her sister, Doris Robinette of Pikeville, and brother, Quentin T. "Rusty" Robinette of Lexington, niece Andrea Robinette Lowe (William B. Lowe), nephew Phillip Anthony "Toney" Robinette (Raabia W. Robinette), and niece Elizabeth Smith Calvert (Travis Calvert). Her pride and joy were those who called her Baboo, her 15 grandchildren, Byron Avason, Benjamin Avason, Charlotte Smith, Boone Smith, Andrew McNamee, Lindsey McNamee, Isaac McNamee, Jay McNamee, Henry McNamee, Nicholas McNamee, Noah McNamee, Clara McNamee, Benjamin McNamee, Luke McNamee, Caden McNamee, great nephews Bodie Lowe, and Quentin Robinette and great niece Dahlia Robinette.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her stepmother Betty Robinette, son Toney Robinette and sisters in law Pamela May and Patty Dee Smith.
Mary Anne was a long-time member of Pikeville United Methodist Church and currently a faithful member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.
Visitation will be held from 6:00-9:00 pm at J.W. Call & Son Funeral home on Friday, April 11, 2025.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church at 12:00pm. There will be a short visitation from 10:30-12:00 on Saturday before mass.
In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 137 Bryan Street, Pikeville, Ky. 41501 will be appreciated.
