Mary Schmitt Crews Obituary
November 27, 2025, at Dominion Senior Living of Louisville. She was born in Payneville,
Kentucky on May 9, 1931, to the late Grace Elizabeth Hardin Schmitt and Frederick Je erson
Schmitt. She lived most of her life in Irvington, Kentucky. Catherine was a member of Holy
Guardian Angel Catholic Church and cherished her faith.
In addition to her husband of 69 years, Joseph, she was preceded in death by her two children
Roger N. Crews and Susan M. Crews. Left to cherish her memory are her grandchildren,
Joseph Kyle Crews, Will and Dominic Elpers, Jody Kelty and her daughter in law, Ann Marie
Elpers along with many friends and extended family.
Visitation will be held on Saturday December 6, 2025, at Ratterman Brothers Funeral Home, St.
Matthews from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the donor's favorite charity.

Catherine you was loved by so many. I´ll never forget how you was always there for us when our mother was sick. Everyday morning you would walk down the hill to our house and have coffee with mamma and wait for the mail to run. Irvington was a great town to grow up in with wonderful neighbors. I love you Catherine and missed visiting you in Irvington. My deepest sympathies for Kyle and the rest of your family.
