Jane was born on April 27, 1937 to the late Harlan and Ida Howell in Hanson, she attended Grace Baptist Church in Clay.
Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband James "Red Jim" Shelton in 2004.
Survivors include 2 sons Tim Shelton (Ann) of Cario, Terry Shelton of Clay, 3 sisters Anna Mae Woods of Evansville, Katherine Polley of Tampa, FL, Dorothy Puryear (Darrell) of Cunningham, KY, 6 grandchildren Katie Beth Shelton (Dillon), Taylor Shelton (Jake), Mitchael Shelton (Allie), Jack Rainier (Michelle), Cristy West, Katy Sowders(Jamie), 4 great-grandchildren Kaiden & Norah Jane Shelton, Alivia Howard and Natalie Bryan.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Vanover Funeral Home with Brother Ronnie Gibson officiating. Burial will be in New Clay Cemetery in Clay.
Visitation will be Tuesday, May 20, 2025 4:00 PM till 8:00 PM and Wednesday 9:00 AM till service time at the funeral home.

I missed her service but I loved Ms. Jane. She was a beautiful person inside and out. We will miss her at Grace Baptist Church very much.

So sorry to hear that Jane has passed awayshe and I worked together back in the late 60s and 70s at MovVac in Morganfield . Jane and Jim stood up for my husband and me when we were married . A very sweet lady . My condolences
