Mary Helen Sims (née Peterson), age 92 of Dittmer, Missouri, entered into eternal rest on January 1, 2026, in Arnold, Missouri. Mary was born on September 24, 1933, in Tipton, Tennessee. She was united in marriage to Floyd Sims, who preceded her in death. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Mary dedicated her life to caring for her family and home. She was a homemaker and member of Fellowship Baptist Church in High Ridge, Mary was a loving mother to her two children, Anita (Charles) Phillips of Eureka, Missouri, and Floyd Sims Jr. of Dittmer, Missouri. She especially cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mary enjoyed gardening and found great joy in being surrounded by her family. Her gentle spirit, kind heart, and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Survivors

Mary is survived by her daughter, Anita (Charles) Phillips of Eureka, Missouri; her son, Floyd Sims Jr. of Dittmer, Missouri; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Clark Peterson of Union, Missouri, Roy Clifford (Sandy) Peterson of Illinois, and Daniel Peterson of Dittmer, Missouri. Her Grandchildren, Chuck Phillips Jr., Shelly Gerren, Stacey Schwartz, Susan Elmore, Kayla Skiled and Katelyn Sims

Preceded in Death

She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Sims; her father, Joe Peterson; her mother, Izora Peterson (née Gorley); her sister, Edna Ray; and her brothers, Marshall Peterson and Joe Peterson and Grandson Bryan Phillips

Visitation will be held on Friday January 09, 2026, from 11am to 1pm at Chapel Hill Mortuary, Cedar Hill, Missouri

Funeral services will be held on Friday January 09, 2026, 1pm at Chapel Hill Mortuary, Cedar Hill, Missouri

.

Burial will take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.

Mary Helen Sims leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and devotion that will continue to live on through her family.
