Mary Beth Smith, 77, passed away Saturday, August 31, 2024.
She was born July 15, 1947, to the late Bill and Virginia Hannah.
Beth graduated from Wilkinson High School and attended Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, KY. She lived close to Willow Branch, IN, where she grew up, for much of her life.
She taught high school English for a time and worked as a Social Case Worker at the Hancock County Division of Family Resources for several years. She was also involved in Smith Implements, a John Deere dealership she and her husband co-owned with other family members for many years.
Beth was a loving mother and grandmother and devoted caregiver to her parents. She had a huge heart for those in need. She loved her home and was an impeccable housekeeper. She loved the water, including her pool and the ocean. Beth was fun and mischievous, had a wicked sense of humor, and was adored by her family and circle of friends.
Beth is survived by her daughter, Julie Moeller, and her son, Matthew Smith. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Claire Moeller, Addie Moeller, Alex Smith, Abigail Smith, Anthony Smith, Amelia Smith, and Aiden Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ted Smith, her parents, and her brother, Jim Hannah.
Funeral service will be held Friday, September 13, 2024 at 5:00 P.M. at Bozell Funeral Homes Condo Chapel in Wilkinson, IN. Friends may call at the funeral home prior to the service from 2-5 P.M.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hancock County CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates), who support abused and neglected children in the court system. Checks may be made payable to Hancock County Friends of CASA, Inc., and mailed to 98 E. North Street, Greenfield, IN 46140.
