Mary Ruth was a devoted member of Cool Springs Baptist Church. She served as both pianist and singer with the Cool Springs Quartet. She also shared her love of music as a piano instructor for many years.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 71 years, Charlie Stevenson; son, David Stevenson; daughter, Carol Stevenson; parents, Wiley and Buren Mae Davis; brothers, Cecil Davis and W.F. Davis, Jr.; sisters, Gladys Winkler and Hazel Thomason.
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Dianne Stevenson of Chatsworth, and Joel Stevenson and Charlene Miles of Chatsworth; grandchildren, Brian and Stephanie Stevenson, Aaron and Patricia Stevenson, and Amy Etheridge; great-grandchildren, Aubrie Stevenson, Will Stevenson, and Daniel Stevenson; extended family also survives.
Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Mary Ruth Davis Stevenson will be held on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at 12:00 pm at Cool Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Josh Parker and Rev. Donald Cantrell officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
Peeples Funeral Home & Crematory of Chatsworth has been entrusted with the arrangements for Mrs. Mary Ruth Davis Stevenson.
