Mary Ann Storm, age 75, of Keavy, Kentucky, passed away at her home on October 25, 2025.

Born on May 31, 1950, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Edward Holthaus and Mary Agnes Fedders, Mary Ann lived a life defined by creativity, compassion, and boundless generosity of spirit. From a young age, she displayed an insatiable curiosity and love of learning—famously reading every book in her local library as a child.

A gifted portrait artist, Mary Ann was well known throughout the community for her extraordinary talent. Over the years, she captured countless faces on paper, including several well-known country musicians during her time working at Cumberland Falls and Tombstone Junction. Her art reflected not only her technical skill but also her ability to see and celebrate the beauty in others.

Mary Ann’s greatest masterpiece, however, was the life she built with her family. She was the steady anchor who kept everyone grounded and connected, no matter how far they drifted or where life carried them. Her home was always open—a place where friends and family could find a listening ear, a warm meal, and a heart free of judgment. She encouraged her children to explore their own gifts—whether in art, music, sports, or academics—and nurtured their passions with the same care she gave to every canvas she touched.

She is survived by her devoted husband, James Storm; her children, Rain Storm (Brandon Smith), James E. Storm (Ashley Storm), and Byron Storm (Shanna Storm); and her beloved granddaughters, Summer, Saige, and Saylor Storm. She also leaves behind her cherished sister and brother-in-law, Kathleen and David Greene, and a host of nieces and nephews who will forever carry her memory close. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Mary Agnes Holthaus, and her niece, Nora Greene.

Those who knew Mary Ann will remember her for her remarkable artistic gift, her open-hearted kindness, and her unwavering love for her family. Her warmth drew people in; her love kept them close. Though her physical presence will be deeply missed, her spirit—her laughter, generosity, and steady guidance—will continue to anchor those who were blessed to know her.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, 607 Master Street, Corbin, Kentucky. Funeral services will take place on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 703 Master Street, Corbin, Kentucky. A lunch will follow at the church.
