SNEADS FERRY - It is with deep sadness that the family of Mary Stuchal announces her passing on August 11, 2025, at the age of 85. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on Thursday, August 21, 2025 at New River Community Church with a visitation 1 hour prior. Entombment will follow at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.

Born on December 7, 1939, to the late Francis Martin and Mary Elizabeth Meyers Mehal. Mary was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her loving husband, David "Dave" Stuchal Sr.; her sons, David, Jr. and Mark Alan Stuchal Sr.; her nephew, Mathew Stone; her siblings, Frances Barnhart, Gladys Asbury, Frank Mehal Jr., and her infant sister, Martha Mehal and her beloved "Pap Pap" and "Grandma".

Mary is survived by her sister, Rose Stone (John) of Carmichaels, PA, and her cherished niece, Sarah Stone, along with her great-nephew, Josh Stone. She leaves behind her grandchildren, Brandon Sainsbury of Oklahoma, Erica Coffey of Sneads Ferry, Mark Alan Stuchal, Jr. of Charlotte, and Morgan Stuchal of Sneads Ferry; her great-grandchildren Maison, Matthew, Kyla, and Joel and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and 3 great nephews. She will be missed by numerous friends and extended family who were incredibly blessed to know her.

Mary affectionately known by "Granny" was a devoted and faithful Marine Corps wife, loving mother to 2 wonderful boys, and a cherished granny to her grandchildren and many others. She was a member of the National Honor Society, a dedicated member of the NC Homemakers Extension, and a long-time secretary at Swan Point Marina. She also worked as a bookkeeper for Dave's Construction. Her intelligence, quick wit, and kindness were felt by all who crossed her path. Her faith in Jesus Christ was central to her life, and she carried that love with her in all she did.
