Mary Studer Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Alexandria Funeral Home on Dec. 29, 2025.
Mary Ann Studer, 96, of Wilder, passed away on December 26, 2025, at the Cold
Spring Transitional Care Center in Kentucky. She was born on December 9,
1929, to the late Raymond and Gertrude (nee Grimminger) Meiman in Covington,
Kentucky. She worked at Walgreens as a clerk for nearly 35 years and was a
longtime member of St. John the Baptist Church in Wilder. Mary Ann never met a
stranger. She loved to travel, seeing new places and always meeting new
people. She enjoyed reading and working her crossword puzzles and Jumbles
every morning. Card playing was one of her favorite pastimes. In 1946, while a
sophomore at Notre Dame high school, she and her friends formed a "card club."
This club continued to meet monthly for more than 70 years. A woman of deep
Catholic faith and prayer, Mary Ann believed it was her duty to help others. She
was happiest when doing for others, especially her family, and her warmth and
thoughtfulness touched many lives.
Mary Ann was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Alphonse "Whitey"
Studer, her parents, five siblings, and one grandchild. She is survived by her
daughter, Carol (Bryan) Becker, and three sons, Jim (Elizabeth) Studer, Dave
(Janis) Studer, and Doug (Shirley) Studer. She is also survived by nine
grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and her brother, George "Jerry"
Meiman.
Visitation will be held Saturday, January 3, 2026, from 9:00 am to 10:30 am at St.
Mary of the Assumption Church in Alexandria, Kentucky. A Mass of Christian
Burial will begin at 10:30 am, with Rev. Joe Gallenstein officiating. Mary Ann will
be laid to rest at St. Stephen Cemetery in Ft. Thomas, Kentucky. Online
condolences can be given at alexandriafh.com. Donations may be made to The
Cincinnati Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired or Bluegrass Care
Navigators.
