Honoring a Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother

Mary Sandra “Sandy” Tindle (McLeod), passed away peacefully on August 9, 2025, in Boise, Idaho, at the age of 72. Born on April 27, 1953, in Boise, she was the cherished daughter of James and Mary C. McLeod.

Sandy’s devotion to her family was evident throughout her life. She was the proud mother of four children: Tanya McAllister (Joe), Robert “Jim” Davidson—both from her first marriage—and, following her marriage to Jerry D. Tindle in 1983, William Tindle and Brandy Fenn-Kober (Christopher). Her legacy of love continues through her eleven grandchildren: Kayla, Courtney, Tiffany, Alesha, Mackenzie, Ivy, Skyler, Jacob, Kimberlly, Trevor, and Savanah. She was a beloved great-grandmother to Gennevieve, Brooklyn, Abraham, Isabelle, Paisley, Oaklyn, James, Alaric, and soon-to-arrive Julia.

Sandy is survived by her husband of 43 years Jerry Tindle, two sisters, Patricia “Annie” McLeod and Nancy McLeod, brother Mike Storm as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. In recent years, she was delighted to discover and welcome previously unknown extended family and friends into her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Mary McLeod, her in-laws, Judy and Bob Tindle, her siblings William (Bill) Travis, Jessie Marie (Sue), and John V. McLeod Sr. Sandy also mourned the loss of her beloved son, William Christopher Tindle.

The family extends their deepest gratitude to the dedicated care team from St. Luke’s Neurology, Norco and Ancora who supported Sandy during her time with ALS. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sandy’s memory to ALS.org.

Throughout her life Sandy was an avid supporter of Boise State University and her lifetime community, and the heart of her family and her memory will remain forever in the hearts of those who loved her. "Go Orange! Go Big Blue! Fight! Fight! BSU!"
