Mary Margaret Toward

Mary Toward (Friend-Reihner), 93 years young, of Bloomfield, New Mexico passed suddenly on February 4, 2025. Mary was born in Pennsylvania in August of 1932 to the late Katherine (Friend) Reihner and John Reihner. Mary was the second born of 6 children. She moved to New Mexico with her late husband George Toward, Sr. in the late 1950s initially living in Farmington until moving to Bloomfield in the late 1970s. They had six children. In addition to raising her children Mary involved herself in the St. Marys Catholic Church and schools. She was an avid reader and liked gardening. She is survived by her children George (Katerina, Kitty) Toward, Jr., John (Barbara) Toward, Jeanna (C.R.) Lewis, Robert (Sharla) Toward, Fred (Tracy) Toward, and Kimberly Harrison, her 22 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
