Mary Luella (Gould) West, 70, September 20, 1954-September 6, 2025.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother and
Grandmother, Mary Luella West, who left this world peacefully surrounded by
her family September 6th, 2025.
Mary Louella (Gould) West was born on September 20th, 1954, to the late
Dorothy Belle and Orville Everett Gould. She was united in marriage to her loving
husband, Delbert Stanley West on November 9th, 1974, and together they shared
50 years of love and devotion. Mary was a loving mother to their four daughters,
Colleen Brammer, Cheryl (Shane) Lucas, Melissa (John) Carter, and Cassandra West,
and a special son Anthony Long. She opened her heart and home as a loving foster
Mother to many children, giving them the same love and care she poured into her
own family.
Mary was the proud grandmother of sixteen grandchildren, Chelsea (John) Rieck,
Keisha (James) Pryor, Tyler (Suzi) Lucas, Aby, Haeden, Braeden, Paeden, and Raelyn Lucas,
Dante (Danielle) Brammer, Brandon (Devinne) Brammer, Breanna (Chase) Brammer, Robert (Layla) Carter, Shiloh (Dustin) Hall,
Kane and Hunter Montgomery.
22 Great Grandchildren, a special friend, Jasmine. Mary is survived by a sister
Ruth (Rich) West, and 2 sisters-in-law Wilma Gould and Donna Stalling.
Mary found joy in life's simple pleasures; fishing, camping, and crocheting. Her greatest
Happiness came from the time she spent with her grandchildren. She was a devoted
Christian, and longtime member of Haga Mission Church. Where she found strength in her faith,
Happiness and guidance from her husband's preaching, and joy in her church family.
Along with her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her 4 brothers William, Ronald,
Charles, and David Gould, and a sister Emma Decker. As well as 2 great-grandchildren,
Carter and Aubree Rieck.
She bravely endured a 2-year battle with dementia, and through it all, the strength and love she
Carried for her family never wavered. Though dementia challenged her in her final years; her
Spirit, faith, and love she gave remained unshaken. Though her earthly journey has come to an end,
Her faith, love and devotion to her family will forever remain in our hearts. She will be deeply
Missed by all who knew and loved her, Leaving behind a legacy of love in her family, who will
Carry her memory and spirit with them in the days and generations ahead.
