Mary Marlene Wicklander

Mary Marlene Wicklander (Smith) passed away on February 20th, 2025 at home in Stuart, Florida at the age of 86.
Mary was born on May 26th, 1938 in Dempater, South Dakota to Glen Smith and Irma Smith (Walder) the 3rd of 4 children. In 1940 the family moved to Warroad Minnesota where she graduated from high school in 1956.
Mary met the love of her life, Larry, in early 1959 and were married on October 17, 1959 and had 4 sons. They recently had their family together to celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary.
The family moved from Roseau MN to Apple Valley MN in 1969, Mary worked on her beautiful gardens and flowers in the yard. In 2005, Mary and Larry moved to Fairbault MN retiring on a golf course and continuing to tend to her beautiful flowers and hosta gardens. In 2018 Mary and Larry permanently moved to Stuart, Fl. Mary will be remembered for her warm smile, listening ear, and caring relationships. Mary loved visiting over coffee, golfing, and a good game of cards, especially if money was involved.
Surviving Mary are her husband Larry, sister Audrey, children Jerry (LeeAnn), Gerry, Greg, and Jeff (Amy), grandchildren Brandon, Blake, Robert, Rebecca, Mitchell, Gavin and Sarah, great grandchildren Hadley, Bennett, and Leo.
The family would like to thank everyone for their support and friendship during this time. A celebration of life will be held on April 12 from 2 to 7pm at Monterey Yacht and Golf in Stuart, FL.
