Mary Ann Winchester, 85, of Beloit, WI, passed away on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at Willowick in Beloit.
She was born on May 28, 1937 in Rock County, WI, the daughter of Fred and Edna (Hood) Hodd. Mary Ann was a graduate of Clinton High School. She married Jack S. Winchester on August 16, 1958 in Clinton, WI. He predeceased her on March 14, 2021.
Mary Ann did alterations from her home for many individuals until her retirement in 1997. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Beloit, WI and assisted with funeral luncheons. Mary Ann was a 4H leader and enjoyed spending time at the Pine Cove Resort. She was a member of the Gaston PTA. Mary Ann enjoyed gardening and flowers.
Survivors include her children, Jackie Winchester, Audrey Winchester and Craig Winchester; granddaughter, Melissa Horsfall; and sister, Evie Gunderson.
Mary Ann was predeceased by her parents; husband, Jack; brother, Everett; sisters-in-law, Jean and Carol; and brothers-in-law, Bernard, Charles and Kenneth.
The family would like to give a special thank you to the Willowick Moments Memory Care team and ProMedica Hospice Nurses Amy, Jessica, Megan, and Becky for their compassion and care.
A Funeral Service for Mary Ann will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, February 17, 2023 in the Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium. Burial will be in Baldwin Cemetery. Visitation of Remembrance will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service Friday in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name may be made to ProMedica Hospice or to the Alzheimer's Association.
