Funeral services for Mary Reynolds Zambie, 77, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, June 14, 2025, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Rd., Monroe, LA, with Rev. Terry Barnes officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until service time at the funeral home.
Mary Reynolds Zambie, a cherished mother, grandmother, and sister, was born July 30, 1947, in Monroe, LA, and passed away peacefully on June 7, 2025. Mary graduated from Neville High School and retired from State Farm. Mary married Jimmy Zambie in 1970 and gave birth to her pride and joy, Chris, in 1977.
Mary was a generous woman. She loved gardening, sewing, painting, and many other crafts. She loved her family fiercely. Her grandchildren, Kain and Sara, made her heart extremely full.
Mary is preceded in death by her husband, James “Jimmy” Zambie; her parents, Pete and June Reynolds; sister, Virginia Knickerbocker; and brothers, Charlie Reynolds and Billy Reynolds.
Survivors include her son, Chris Zambie (Amber); grandchildren, Kain Zambie and Sara Zambie; sister, Gwen McKinnie; brother, Jack Reynolds; and sister, Becky Branch.
The pallbearers will be Jack Reynolds, Richard McKinnie, Bret Turner, Mike Zambie, James Rawls, and Mark Huggins.
The family would like to thank the staff at The Gardens of Somerset and her doctors for their loving care of Mrs. Zambie.
