MARYANN CHIZMAR, 67, of RED BANK, NJ died at her home on Sunday, March 15, 2009, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Jersey City to Paul and Mary Chizmar. She spent most of her life living in Colts Neck before moving to Red Bank. She was a fashion consultant for Bamberger's department store, and then moved on to Odyssey Travel, where she was a travel agent who specialized in the Caribbean and also a property manager. She was a member of the Colts Neck Fire Co. No. 2 Ladies' Auxiliary. She enjoyed skiing and she was a member of a ski patrol at a Vermont ski area. After she retired, Maryann became an avid gardener.
Maryann was predeceased by her step-brother, Paul Chizmar, Jr. She is survived by her children, Paul Moscatello of Brooklyn, NY, and her daughter Terri Ellis and her husband Jack of Galloway, NJ; her grandchildren, Christopher, Todd, Tara, and Caitlin; and her brother, Joseph Chizmar and his wife Helen of Edison, NJ.
Visitation will be held at the Thompson Memorial Home, 310 Broad St., Red Bank on Wednesday, 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 PM. A memorial mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 9:15 AM at St. James RC Church, 94 Broad St., Red Bank.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in her memory to the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund, 14 Pennsylvania Plaza, Ste 1400, NY, NY 10122 or www.OCRF.org, or to the VNA Hospice Program, Courtesy of Development Office, 176 Riverside Ave., Red Bank, NJ 07701.
