Maryann (Nalitz) Skinger, age 93, of Brighton Heights, passed away peacefully, on Wednesday, September 10, 2025 Born the daughter of the late John and Stella (Szramowski) Nalitz of Polish Hill. Beloved wife of the late Edward F. Skinger whom she was married to for 63 wonderful years. She is survived by her 6 children: John (Aster), Steve, Larry (Judy), Mark (Helen), Therese, Edziu (Diana), and 11 grandchildren: Johnny (Laura), Tracy (Dan), Ashley (Justen), Samantha (Andrew), Stephanie, Beverly, Marc, Matthew, Abbie, Mikey, and Luca; preceded in death by her granddaughter Mary and grandson David; 9 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great- grandchildren.
Maryann was raised on Polish Hill and was a graduate of Shadyside Nursing School. Her strong faith in God and love of her family was outstanding as well as her Polish heritage.
Relatives and friends will be received on Sunday from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm & 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at the Thomas P. Kunsak Funeral Home, Inc., 3552 California Avenue at Davis Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15212. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am in Shrines of Pittsburgh Parish, Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 3058 Brereton Street, Polish Hill, Pittsburgh, PA 15219. Interment will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery.
