Maryanne Vitiello Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Cremation Services Direct on Aug. 5, 2025.
Maryanne (Lawlor) Vitiello, age 68, of North Myrtle Beach, SC - formerly of Cornwall, NY, passed away peacefully on August 3, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Born and raised in the Bronx, Maryanne spent 27 years in Cornwall before retiring to North Myrtle Beach. She was the heart of her family - a strong, independent woman known for her unwavering love, tireless work ethic, and quiet grace that touched everyone she met.

Maryanne expressed her love in countless ways - through homemade meals, thoughtful gestures, and creating a warm, welcoming home. She found happiness in life's simple moments: reading the paper in her favorite chair, watching her shows, and relaxing peacefully by the pool or playing mahjong.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Gerald Vitiello; her children, Nicole Vitiello and Danny Vitiello,

and daughter-in-law Danielle Vitiello; and her cherished grandson, Luca.
She is also survived by her sister, Deborah McGann, and brother-in-law Neil McGann; her brother, John Lawlor; nieces and nephews Brian McGann (Lindsey), Lindsay McGann, Chris McGann (Blair), Kaitlyn Anderson (Kenny), and Joseph Palumbo; and great-nieces and nephews Jaidan, Maddax, Briella, Shane, Troy, Emmy, Riley, Bradley, and Kinsley.

Maryanne will always be remembered for her incredible strength, her beautiful smile, her love of cooking, and above all, the deep and enduring love she had for her family.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in Maryanne's memory. Gifts can be made online at Donate in Memory or Honor for Cancer Research | MSK Giving (Honor a Loved One) and will support cancer care and research in her name.
