Marylou A. Karwowski, 72, of Forest City, died Tuesday March 11th at Allied Services Hospice, Scranton after an illness.
Born in Washington, DC, daughter of the late Donald and Mary Zelonis Kane, she was a member of Ascension Parish, Forest City. She was a 1971 graduate of Forest City Regional High School. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a psychiatric aide at Clarks Summit State Hospital. Marylou was a fun person, who always had a good story to share with anyone. She enjoyed her trips to the casinos and working in the garden. She loved music from the 1960's, especially Tommy James and the Shondells and the Righteous Brothers. She will be truly missed by those who knew her well.
Surviving are a daughter: Janessa Karwowski, Dallas; two sons: Brian and Peter Karwowski, both of Forest City; two sisters: Kandy Kane-Davis, Vandling; Patricia Mikolon and husband Emil, Forest City; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by four brothers: Michael, Donald, Charles, and Joseph Kane.
Graveside services will be held in the spring in Saint Agnes Cemetery, Forest City. Arrangements by the Jones & Brennan Funeral Home, 430 Main Street, Forest City.
