Maryrose Cline-Buso

Maryrose Cline-Buso, 70, of Ocean View, Delaware, died peacefully in her sleep at home on August 18th, 2025. Known and loved for her resilience and determination, Maryrose battled debilitating chronic health conditions, yet was undeterred by the challenges she faced.

Maryrose was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on October 11, 1954, to Donald R. Cline and Catherine Helene Cline (née Franklin). She attended her parish primary school, St. Timothy's, and St. Hubert Catholic High School for Girls (Go Bambies!) in Philadelphia. Maryrose studied at La Salle University, and after moving to Arlington, Virginia, George Mason University. Upon high school graduation, she started a career with the Federal Government, first as a clerk-typist for the Bureau of Labor Statistics in Philadelphia, and rose in later positions to become a supervisory IT analyst for the Department of Labor in Washington, DC.

She met and married the love of her life, Michael Buso, in 1982. In addition to her husband, Maryrose is survived by a daughter, Martha (Scott Sandefur) of Seattle, Washington, and son, Brendan, of Reston, Virginia. She is also survived by her sister Susan McGroarty (William), as well as other in-laws, numerous nieces and nephews, and their children. While most knew her as Maryrose or Mary, family members often referred to her as "Rosie".

A talented needlewoman, many admired her pieces, which will be cherished for generations to come. Other passions included knitting, cooking, collecting rabbit-themed items, and spending time on the beach. As a Philadelphia native, she maintained her enthusiasm for the city's sports teams- the Phillies, Flyers, and Eagles.

Maryrose kept in contact with friends from all stages of life. She was inspirational in her ability to surmount challenges. Her laughter, love, and generous spirit will be sorely missed by all the lives she touched.

A memorial gathering will be planned for a later date.
