In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Houghlin, and 2 brothers, Carl Yates and Gerald Vernon Yates.
She is survived by her daughter, Cyndi Houghlin of Bardstown, 2 sons, Keith Houghlin of Bloomfield, Dwayne "Poss" (Sherry) Houghlin of Bloomfield, her sister, Aleen Barnes of Mt. Washington, her grandson, Kevin Houghlin of Bloomfield, 2 great grandchildren, Sydney Houghlin of Bloomfield, Kori Houghlin of Mt. Washington and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Cremation was chosen by the family. A celebration of Marzetta's life will be 4:00-8:00 pm Friday, February 21, 2025 at Freedom Praise Ministries, 9996 Lawrenceburg Road, Chaplin, KY 40012. The Houghlin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

We, my sibs and I, always enjoyed visiting with her and the family. She and Uncle Roy were always so good with us...so many good memories. I remember her dark hair and her warm smiles. We will miss her, rest her soul. Loved her.
