Mason Russell Hull, 27, of Dubuque, passed away Monday, September 23, 2024, at his home.
Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm Thursday, September 26, 2024 at Lord of Life Lutheran Church.
The Funeral Service for Mason will be at 3:00 pm on Thursday September 26, 2024 at Lord of Life Lutheran Church with Pastor Karla Wildberger officiating.
Mason was born March 22, 1997, in Sioux City, IA, the son of Russell Hull and Amy Ott.
He was a 2015 graduate of Hempstead High School.
Mason was an usher at the Mississippi Moon Bar at the Diamond Jo Casino and also assisted his dad in providing respite services.
He was a dedicated volunteer at the Mississippi River Museum and Finley Hospital. A passionate supporter of Clarke Women's Basketball, he also cheered for the Green Bay Packers and Kansas City Chiefs. Music was a significant part of his life; he attended over 1,000 concerts and cherished the opportunity to meet various artists, musicians, and celebrities. He loved spending time with his dad, mom, and sister, and enjoyed visits and daily FaceTimes with family.
Survivors include his father, Rusty Hull of Dubuque; his mother, Amy (Tom Meyer) Ott of Fargo, ND; his sister, Preston Hull of Cedar Rapids; his maternal grandparents, Gene and Jane Ott of Ely, MN; aunts and uncles, Randy Hull, Martha Hull, Brian (Michele) Hull, Josh (Becky) Ott, Brenda (Troy) Moser, and Nick (Danielle) Ott; many great-aunts and uncles; numerous cousins; and his beloved cat, Nat, named after the National Championship Clarke Women's Basketball team of 2022-2023.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Gordon and Jackie Hull; three cousins, Mark Cameron, Brent and Craig Ohl, and his beloved pets, Blitzen and Mikey.
A special thank you to the nursing staff from Universal Pediatrics and the school, staff, and associates.
