Mason Strickland

Mason Andrew Strickland was born on Nov 30, 2007, in American Fork, Utah, the beloved son of Mark and Summer Strickland. Despite the medical hurdles he faced from an early age, Mason approached every day with courage, resilience, and joy that inspired all who knew him.

A student at Lone Peak High School, Mason loved being around his friends and classmates. He was known for his quick smile, his love of sports-especially the Los Angeles Dodgers, Golden State Warriors, and Jacksonville Jaguars-and his ability to brighten any room with his humor and warmth. One of his greatest joys was becoming "Uncle Mason" to his niece Olive, a role he cherished deeply.

Throughout his life, Mason was a living testament to miracles. Born with hypoplastic left heart syndrome, he endured multiple open-heart surgeries, a heart transplant, and so many other medical trials that seemed impossible to overcome. Time and time again, Mason defied the medical odds placed before him. He reminded all who knew him that life itself is a sacred gift from God, one that's worth fighting for. Those who walked beside him felt the presence of these miracles. With his earthly trials behind him, his spirit continues in the eternal embrace of His Father in Heaven.

"The soul shall be restored to the body and the body to the soul; yea, and every limb and joint shall be restored to its body; yea, even a hair of the head shall not be lost; but all things shall be restored to their proper and perfect frame." Alma 40:23

Above all, Mason loved life. He embraced each day with courage and light, reminding everyone around him to celebrate the little moments. His legacy of kindness, laughter, and love will live on in the hearts of his family and friends forever.

Mason is survived by his parents, Mark and Summer, his sister Kaitlin, his brothers Preston (and his wife Britta), Braiden, and Ammon; and his niece, Olive.

Services are under the direction of Olpin Family Mortuary in Pleasant Grove, Utah.

An evening viewing will be held Friday, September 26, 2025 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM in the Pleasant Grove Manila Stake Center; 850 North 900 East, American Fork, Utah.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 27, 2025 at 11:00 AM also at the stake center. Family and friends may attend a viewing from 9:30 - 10:45 AM prior to the service. Interment will be in the Alpine City Cemetery.
