The World Lost An Amazing Person
Mason S. Wickline, age 26, passed away suddenly as a result of a motor vehicle accident on Tuesday, July 4, 2023.
Born in Waterbury on June 6, 1997, Mason was the son of Catherine Risigo-Wickline of Wolcott and of Jeffrey Wickline and his wife Gloria of North Carolina. He was a 2016 graduate of Holy Cross High School and attended Porter & Chester Institute. He worked as a Nuclear Test Electrician for General Dynamics Electric Boat and was a member of the IBEW Union. Excited about his job, Mason worked hard to build a career in his chosen field.
A kind, gentle soul, Mason was full of life, always joking with his friends, and loved by so many people. He had an amazing group of close friends with whom he spent time. As a small child, Mason had a special love for dogs that carried throughout his life, and he never met a dog he didn't want to take home. Mason enjoyed playing video games with his brother Curtis and his friends. He also enjoyed playing football and rugby in his younger years and was an avid fan of golf.
Mason was very much loved by so many people and will truly be missed.
In addition to his parents Catherine and Jeffrey and stepmother Gloria, Mason is survived by his brothers Curtis Wickline of MA and Morgan Wickline of NC; his sisters Kendall Wickline of FL and Kalyn Wickline and her husband RJ Prego of NJ; and his step sisters Jessica Rosenbeck and her husband Kyle of Litchfield and Kelly McSaveny and her husband Patrick Woodin of Litchfield. He also leaves his aunts Virginia "Gina" Brown and her husband Joseph of Wolcott and Valma Adams and her husband Mark of W.VA; his uncles Lawrence J. Risigo, Jr. and his wife Susan of ME and Michael Wickline and his wife Kim of TN; his great-aunt Dorinda Biondi and her husband Donny of Wolcott and his great-uncle Joseph Risigo of Colchester as well as many nephews including his nephew Jayden to whom he was especially close, several cousins, numerous friends, and his beloved fur buddy, "Dexter". He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents Lawrence and Barbara Risigo and paternal grandparents Curtis and Phyllis Wickline.
"We were truly blessed to have had him in our life for only a short time and will continue to treasure every memory for the rest of our lives."
