Matthew Daniel Pennock, of Steelville, MO, was born on Wednesday, January 18, 1978 in Sullivan, MO to Robin David Pennock and Susie Pennock, nee Collins. He passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 31, 2023 while logging in Leasburg, MO at the age of 45 years, 6 months and 13 days.
Matt was a lifelong resident of Steelville and graduated from Steelville High School in the Class of 1996. After high school, he attended RTI for computer drafting. He married Roberta "Robi" Pearl Blevins on May 20, 2000 in Leasburg, MO and to this union, three children were born. Matt was a jack of all trades and a master at anything he put his hands to. Matt was a member of the Steelville Country Club. He never met a stranger, had a hilarious personality, was the life of the party, enjoyed being with his friends. He was a mechanic, he enjoyed building and restoring cars, building hot rods and rat rods. He was a logger, loved the outdoors, riding four wheelers, side by sides and being on the water kayaking and racing sea-doos that he built. Most of all, Matt loved his family. He was a devoted son, father and loyal friend that will be missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Ben W. & Juanita Pennock and Lynton & Juanita Collins.
Matt is survived by his parents Rob and Susie Pennock of Steelville, MO; children Tatum Pennock, Asa Pennock and Tobi Pennock all of Steelville, MO; companion Theresa Wilkerson of Steelville, MO; cousins and many friends.
Visitation was from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM on Thursday, August 3, 2023 at Hutson Funeral Home, Steelville, MO. Funeral Service was at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 4, 2023 at Hutson Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Beers officiating. Burial was at Keysville Cemetery, Steelville, MO.
