Funeral services for Matt Wade, Jr., 80, of Garland, formerly of Edgewood, are scheduled for 3:00 p.m. Monday, May 6, 2013, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Edgewood. He passed away Friday morning, May 3, 2013, in Dallas. Matt was born June 8, 1932, in Emory, Texas, the son of Matt Wade, Sr. and Ruth Margaret Wallace Wade. He was raised in the Morince Community north of Edgewood. Matt graduated from Edgewood High School. On November 10, 1951, he married Aline Vinson in Waxahachie. Matt was an engineer and had been employed at T.I. in Richardson for twelve years, Wade's Metal Shop in Garland for two years and retired after fifteen years of service in 1995, from S.M.S. in Garland, where he was Vice President and C.E.O. Prior to moving to Garland forty-five years ago he lived in Ft. Worth. He enjoyed wood working, metal detecting, building musical instruments, gardening and growing roses. He was a member of the Saturn Road Church of Christ in Garland. Preceded in death by his parents, Matt & Ruth Wade; brother, Keith Wade and two sisters, Ozell Foster and Esta Lee Jackson. He is survived by his wife, Aline Wade, of Garland; two daughters, Soundra Fulton & husband, David, of Krum and Lisa Clendenen & husband, Gary, of Priddy; six grandchildren, Josh Fulton & wife, Karolyn, Jessica Hunt & husband, Jason, Jodi Painter & husband, Andrew, Jennifer McNeel & husband, Steven, Amanda Cohen & husband, J. Allan and Kayce Clendenen; twelve great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Pallbearers: Andrew Painter, J. Allan Cohen, Jeffrey Muncie, Steven McNeel, Jason Hunt and Josh Fulton. Honorary pallbearers: Randy Rodden, Brian Jones, Kenneth Vinson, Billy Foster, Tommy Vinson, Don Pickens, Doug Pickens and Tommy Wade. Family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Ronald McDonald House. Allan Fuller Funeral Home www.allanfullerfuneralhome.com
