Matthew C. Clarke, a cherished son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on September 10, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and thoughtfulness that touched the lives of all who knew him. Born to Lynda and the late John Clarke, Matthew's early years were filled with the warmth of a close-knit family, a bond that only grew stronger with time.
A proud graduate of Milton High School, Matthew carried his passion for learning and community to Johnson and Wales University, earing his degree.
Matthew's love for life was evident in his varied interests. He was an avid fan of the Patriots, sharing many a game with friends, cheering and reveling in the camaraderie that only sports can bring. His love for music led him to country shows, where he found solace in the melodies and stories that country music so uniquely tells. He had a lifelong love for cooking. His culinary talents were a source of joy not only for him but for everyone who had the pleasure of experiencing his dishes.
Above all, Matthew was a family man. He cherished moments spent with his parents, his brother John and sister-in-law Julie of Milton, his nieces and nephew, Petal, Christian, and Taylor. His aunts and uncle, Susan, Pauline, Jeanne, Christine, and Richard, along with many cousins, will fondly remember Matthew's generous spirit and the thoughtful ways he showed his love.
Matthew's loyal companion, his dog Finn, was a constant source of comfort and friendship. Their bond was a testament to Matthew's loving nature, and the two were inseparable companions on life's journey.
Those who knew Matthew will remember a man who lived his values every day. His loving demeanor, his kindness that knew no bounds, and his thoughtful gestures made him a beacon of light in the lives of many. Matthew's absence will be deeply felt, but the memories he created will continue to inspire and comfort those he left behind.
As we say goodbye to Matthew, we celebrate a life well-lived, a heart given freely, and a legacy of love that will endure. He will be profoundly missed, but the warmth of his presence will remain with us, guiding and encouraging us to live as he did-with love, kindness, and thoughtfulness.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Agatha Parish Milton on Friday September 19th at 10:30am. Burial private.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Matthew's memory to the Quincy Animal Shelter
