Matthew Gutierrez Obituary
Born November 8th, 1997, in Bakersfield, California, Matthew was a man of many layers, one whose larger-than-life personality filled any room he entered. Known for his sharp wit and sarcastic humor, he had a unique ability to make those around him laugh, often pushing boundaries but always with affection. Beneath the humor was a deeply emotional man who loved fiercely and felt profoundly.
His greatest joy was being a husband and father. He poured his heart into raising Matthias (3) and Jedidiah (1), striving daily to be the father they deserved.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Zariah, and their two young sons, his loving mother and stepfather, Hedy and Jim Santora; his siblings Daniel (Alicia), Caitlin, Jacob (Kamely), and Kamryn; and many extended family, close friends, and chosen family who were forever changed by knowing him.
Matthew was the kind of man who showed up-fully, fiercely, without fail. Though his life ended too soon, his love and legacy remain: strong, unforgettable, and echoing in all who loved him.
