Matthew Wayne Kirtman, a beloved son, brother, and uncle, departed this world on June 14, 2025, at the age of 33. He was born on November 9, 1991, in Norman, Oklahoma, an area that fostered his deep love for community and family.

Matthew grew up immersed in a family-centered environment, which shaped him into the caring and funny man that his loved ones remember fondly. A proud graduate of Noble High School in 2010, he carried the values learned throughout his life into adulthood, establishing connections that were both meaningful and lasting. His spirit of camaraderie and kinship was further exemplified during his ten years of dedicated service in the U.S. Army Reserves, where he formed bonds that would never fade.

His commitment to service reflected his caring and family-oriented nature. He had an infectious sense of humor that brought joy to those around him, and he genuinely loved his family, particularly his cherished nephews: Maddix, Kingxton, and Hendrix. The relationships he built with them were central to his life, as was his dedication to his loving sister, Melissa, and brother-in-law, Rob. Matthew was also a proud uncle to his sister Lya's daughter, Ana, and supported his brother Kendall with unwavering love.

Matthew’s love for his family was profound. He cherished every moment spent with his nephews, showering them with affection and creating unforgettable memories together. His passion for life extended beyond his family, as he expressed his enthusiasm for sporting events, particularly as a die-hard fan of OU football. Whether on the sidelines or surrounded by friends, Matthew's laughter was contagious, lighting up every room he entered.

He found joy in simple pleasures, engaging in hobbies such as frisbee golf, which became a delightful way for him to connect with friends and family. Matthew's zest for life and unwavering support for those around him created an enduring legacy of kindness and warmth that will continue to resonate in the hearts of all who knew him.

Though he is no longer with us, Matthew's spirit will forever remain a guiding light for his family and friends. His remarkable ability to love deeply and make those around him feel cherished will be greatly missed but never forgotten. In this time of sorrow, we remember Matthew as the family-oriented man who painted our lives with humor, compassion, and unconditional love.

Strong family ties characterized Matthew's life. He was deeply connected to his parents, Mike and Becky, and had a close-knit bond with his extended family. He leaves behind his Uncle Dwayne and Aunt Paula, along with their children Dwayne Jr., Alexandria, and Tucker Billy. He was also cherished by Aunt Naomi and Uncle Richie, and by their children Jessica and Zakary. Additionally, he was loved by Aunt Michelle and her family, including cousins Christopher, his wife Katie, and children Ava and Logan. The impact he made also spreads to Aunt Lisa Kirtman and Uncle Kelly, as well as his supportive Tulsa family, with Uncle Steve and Jan and cousins Danny, Linda, Paul, Britiani, Lauren, Rachel, Travis, Lisa, Audrey, Camden, Matt, Con, Lane, Joss, Brett, Scott, Matt Carr, and Taylor Carr.

In our hearts, Matthew will forever be remembered not just for his time on earth, but for the love he shared and the joy he brought into the lives of everyone who knew him. He is now joined in Heaven by his Nana and Aunt Dina, where they will surely welcome him with open arms.
