Matthew “Matt” Rogers, 71, of New Castle passed away on Monday, September 8, 2025, at Henry Community Health. He was born on May 31, 1954, in Terre Haute, Indiana to the late Carol and Ann Rogers.
Matt absolutely loved the outdoors; he and Jennifer would drive the country taking photos. They also loved searching for rocks and fossils. While out they would find a quiet stream to wade around in and enjoy nature. Matt spent time exploring caves when he was younger. They both enjoyed their adventures together. Matt was a delivery driver most of his life for various companies, something he truly enjoyed doing. In his younger years Matt worked at the food pantry in Indianapolis and had a heart for helping others in need.
He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Thomas; stepson, Robert (Rebecca) Stockton; grandson, Jacobi Stockton.
In addition to his parents Matt was preceded in death by his brother, Mark Rogers and two sisters, Carol Ann Rogers and Susan Rogers.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
