Matthew Wayne “Mudflap” McCullough, 73, passed away on Sat. April 27, 2024 at Lakeview Hospital in Covington, MS. Visitation will be held on Thurs. May 2, 2024 from 11am-1pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Funeral Services are 1pm on Thurs. May 2, 2024 at the Ott & Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Brandon, MS with burial to follow in the Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl, MS.
Mr. McCullough was born in Canton, MS on Sept. 6, 1950. He was a truck driver for 43 years and his radio handle was “Mudflap”. He enjoyed dirt track racing and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Mr. McCullough is survived by his children, Matt McCullough (Kasey), Kevin McCullough and Gwen Devine (Cody); sister, Paula Stuart; brothers, Cecil Harris and Doug McCullough; 6 grandchildren, Tatum McCullough, Logan McCullough, Trevor McCullough, Brody McCullough, Anna Leigh Devine, Noah Devine and 2 great grandchildren, Jackson Wayne McCullough and Madelyn McCullough. Mr. McCullough is preceded in death by his father, William Purvis McCullough; mother, Annie Mae Bennett; sister, Jeannette Hughes and a brother, Rayford McCullough.
