Matthew McLaughlin

Matthew Sean McLaughlin, age 26 of Ames, died on February 20, 2011 at his home. Matthew was born October 2, 1984 in Ames, to Gregory and Susan (Case) McLaughlin. He was a graduate of Ames High School in 2003 and attended Columbia University of Chicago majoring in photography. Matthew worked as a freelance photographer. Matthew was very artistic and enjoyed all of the arts, photography, painting, music and creating videos. Matthew also enjoyed spending time doing outdoor activities. He is survived by his parents, Gregory and Susan (Case) McLaughlin of Ames; twin brother, Cole Case McLaughlin of Ames; sister, Shelly Anne (Lucas) Hall of Des Moines; grandmothers, Betty J, Case and Darleen F. McLaughlin both of Ames; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. A memorial has been established in Matthew’s name at First National Bank in Ames.
