SARATOGA SPRINGS - Matthew C. Rozowicz, age 61, passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2026, surrounded by his family ,at Saratoga Hospital. He was born on January 27, 1965, in Taunton, Mass., and was the son of the late Michael S. and Nancy A. (Fuller) Rozowicz.
Matthew was a graduate of Burnt Hills – Ballston Lake High School. Known for his "need for speed," he built much of his life around his passion for motorcycle racing. He was a professional and accomplished flat track motorcycle racer, earning numerous titles, including Eastern Novice National Champion Pro and Junior National Amateur Champion.
Outside of racing, Matthew was a respected wholesale car dealer in the region for more than 40 years. He worked for Condor Trading Corp., in Clifton Park, where he built a strong reputation in the automotive community.
Above all else, Matthew's greatest joy was spending time with his children and his nieces and nephews, whether hanging out together or enjoying his famous Sunday dinners. Burnt BBQ chicken and corn in the microwave were among his signature "specialties." Always snacking, he was rarely far from a bag of pretzels or chips.
Some of his happiest moments were spent racing alongside his son, Brandon, and watching his sons play football. His dogs were also near and dear to his heart and constant companions in his life.
He was the father of Brandon (Hayley) Rozowicz, and the late Bradley Rozowicz; brother of Mark (Ann Marie) Rozowicz, Melissa (the late Vrej) Bagramian; and the late Michael Rozowicz; uncle of Christopher (Athena) Rozowicz, Steven Rozowicz and Alexis and Amanda Bagramian; great-uncle of Connor and Austin Rozowicz. He is also survived by several loving friends.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Friday, March 13, 2026, from 4 to 6 p.m., at Townley & Wheeler Funeral Home, 21 Midline Rd., Ballston Lake, N.Y. 12019.
Spring interment will be in Sweetman Cemetery, Charlton, N.Y.
