Matthew Edward Santos, 25, of Charlotte, NC passed away on August 7, 2023.  Matthew was born in Charlotte, NC on November 20, 1997, and was the son of Diego and Shannon (Fournier).  He is preceded in death by his grandfather, William M. Fournier and his grandmother, Erica Fournier.   He is survived by his parents, Diego and Shannon Santos, sister Samantha Santos (Sawyer Gardner); brother, Andrew Santos; grandparents, Edward and Mariana Santos; grandmother, Erica Farris, and countless aunts, uncles, and cousins.   A visitation will be held on Sunday August 13, 2023, from 11:00- 1:00 at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home, Huntersville, NC. A memorial service will follow at 1:00 with a brief reception immediately following.   Matthew was a devoted son, brother, friend, & paramedic. With a heart full of compassion and unwavering commitment to helping others, Matthew touched the lives of countless individuals during his 6 years of service in emergency medical services. Beyond his professional achievements, Matthew was known for his warm smile, kind words, and genuine concern for the well-being of others. He was a true source of inspiration, a pillar of strength during times of crisis and a beacon of hope to all who encountered him. Matthew never met a stranger, to know him was to be a valued friend.   His legacy will continue to live on in the memories of those he helped and the lives he saved. May Matthew's soul find eternal rest, and may his legacy remind us of the difference one dedicated and compassionate individual can make in the lives of so many.
