Norman Verches Santos

Norman Verches Santos, 81, of Freehold, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. Born in Manila, Philippines, Norman came to the United States 53 years ago, where he built a wonderful life devoted to his family and his medical career. A dedicated physician at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in Somerset, he was respected by colleagues and beloved by patients for his compassion and commitment to care.
Norman was predeceased by his parents, Luis and Lourdes Santos and his cherished siblings. He is survived by his devoted wife of 45 years, Elizabeth Santos; his loving children and their spouses, Marybeth (Daniel) Vizzacchero of Point Pleasant, NJ, Meghan (Rocco Belloni) Santos of Jackson, NJ, and Krysten (Alfredo) Contreras of Spotsylvania, VA; and his adored grandchildren, Sofia Vizzacchero, Isabella Contreras, and Giulia Vizzacchero. He will also be deeply missed by his loyal canine companion, Frankie, and by many loving nieces, nephews, and brother-in-law.
Family and friends are invited to gather on Tuesday, October 14, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:30 AM at the Co-Cathedral of St. Robert Bellarmine, followed by interment at St. John's Cemetery, Middle Village NY.
