Matthew Sowers Obituary
Matthew “Matt” Sowers passed unexpectedly in Grove, OK on January 5, 2024, at the age of 41.
Matthew was born in Midland, TX to Daniel and Michelle Sowers. He was the oldest of three boys. Matthew graduated from Lake Highlands High School in Dallas, TX in 2003. He met KateLynn “Kate” in 2008, and they soon settled into Grove, OK, marrying in 2012. Matt and Kate have one son, Grayson.
Matt was a very outgoing and hard-working person. He spent most of his career in restaurants before realizing his own dream of opening a restaurant himself in 2016. His interests included food, fishing, and anything sports related. Matt was very proud of his Lutheran Confirmation on April 5, 1998, and was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran congregation. He is now surrounded by God’s loving embrace.
Matt was preceded in death by his parents Daniel Sowers and Michelle Menard. Survivors include his wife Kate, son Grayson, brothers Micah and Mason Menard, stepfather Mark Menard, as well as many extended family and friends.
A public celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2025, 1:00pm, at Church on the Hill, 1005 Leisure Rd, Grove, OK.
