Matthew B. Sylvester

Matthew Benjamin Sylvester was born on February 13, 1972. He was the youngest of five children, and a much loved new addition to the family.
Growing up, he loved playing baseball, music and being around friends. At 13, Matt was bar mitzvahed with his family and friends present to watch his achievement.
In his teen years, Matt was quite the handsome young man. He looked like a model or someone on the cover of a romance novel. He liked his hair to be long and his cars to be fast. He owned a 1967 Ford Mustang that he still has to this day.
Matt learned to play the drums from a young age. He was a very talented self-taught musician,
and enjoyed every minute of it. He also loved attending concerts. One of his favorite bands was Tool, and he loved attending their shows. He traveled to multiple places within California and even travelled out of state to catch a good concert.
Matt had many friends, was loved by all, and loved them all equally. He married Ramie and together they had two children, Berlyn and Dylan. They did many things together and enjoyed spending time as a family. He was nothing short of a goofball when it came to his children. His little family has fond memories of wrestling, watching him play Playstation, attending school & sporting events, and taking family vacations. The memories are too vast to be able to detail everything, but will last a lifetime.
Matt went to school to become an A & P mechanic. He was exceptional at what he did, and It was a rewarding career. Also, like his late father Rocky, he too once
had his own business that he built with Ramie.
Matt was in love with life and you could find him laughing and having fun at any gathering.
He is survived by his children, Berlyn and Dylan, grandchildren Amara and Levi, his love Ramie, his mother Beverly and step-father Monte. Also, his brother Billy, sisters Robin and Noreen, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many many friends. He also leaves behind his precious chi-weenie, Sydney. Matt was predeceased by his father Rocky and his brother Frank.
Matt left a lasting impression on everyone, and he will be missed deeply. He left a hole in the hearts of the people who loved him. May he play music in heaven for eternity and his soul be at peace.
