MATTHEW RAYMOND TORPHY

Matthew Raymond Torphy, age 56, was a resident of Riverside, IL and grew up in Matteson, IL. Matthew was the loving father of Megan Torphy and proud grandfather of Noah and Khloe; he adored his parents, Michael (deceased), and his loving mother, Judy; he will always be loved by his siblings, John (Elizabeth), Scott (Christine), Jennifer (Ronald) Geary and Samantha (Trevor) Salato; and is the cherished uncle of Charles, Jane, Christopher, Nola, Keaghan (Dakota), Korhyn, Kahrsten, Everly, Maverick, Wolf and Banks. Matthew was born February 12, 1967, in Chicago Heights, IL and passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, September 5, 2023. Matthew was a skilled material handler at the Sherwin Williams paint company in Chicago for 14 years and later worked as a handyman and landscaper before retiring in 2020 due to disability. He absolutely loved dogs, especially his Kiwi who was his best friend for 18 years. Matthew enjoyed spending time with family, cooking a great meal, listening to rock 'n' roll, and fishing with family and friends. Services are private.
