LAKEMOOR - Michael John Torphy, age 80, was a resident of Lakemoor, IL, formerly of Matteson, IL. Michael was the beloved husband for 60 years of Judy Ann (nee Lamm); loving father of John (Elizabeth), Scott (Christine), Matthew, Jennifer (Ronald) Geary and Samantha (Trevor) Salato; cherished grandfather of Charles, Jane, Christopher, Nola, Megan, Keaghan (Dakota), Korhyn, Kahrsten, Everly, Maverick Michael and soon to arrive, Banks Hazel; proud great-grandfather of Noah, Khloe and soon to arrive, Wolf Michael. Michael was born September 27, 1942, in Chicago, to the late John and Hazel Torphy and passed away Thursday, February 2, 2023, at Good Shepherd Hospital, Barrington, IL. Michael worked as a Foreman/Specialist at Cedar Park Cemetery for 42 years of faithful service, retiring on December 31, 2007. His joy in life was caring for and enjoying time with his family.
