Matthew Wagner Obituary

Published by Legacy on Jun. 4, 2024.
Mathew Todd Wagner, age 32, went running into the arms of Jesus on Sunday, June 2nd, 2024. Matthew was born January 13th, 1992 in Grand Rapids, MI.
Matthew is survived by his parents, Joseph L. Wagner and Mary B. (Reminga) Wagner; siblings, Joey Wagner, Sara (Travis) Menzel, Rebecca (Dylan) Evers, and Hannah (Theodore) Lewis; nieces and nephews, Alexis, Addalyn, Austynn, Madelyn, Josie, Miller, and Brewer; as well as cousins, aunts, and uncles whom he adored.
Matthew was a God fearing young man with unbreakable faith. Everyone saw Jesus through him despite his lifelong battle. Matthew never allowed his disease to define him. He had an incredible sense of humor which brought joy to all those around him. Some of Matt's favorite things included being a patriot, the support of our military, impractical jokes, Captain America, and of course a good Toby Keith song. However, none of those things compared to his love for family, friends, Church, and his savior Jesus Christ. Matthew was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Ed and Wanda Wagner, maternal grandparents Charles and Jeanne Reminga, and uncles Charles and Jon Reminga and Tony Noto.
On behalf of the family we would like to thank Matthew's wonderful hospice team, Carelinc Medical, Mary Freebed Hospital, Woodville Community Church, along with the countless doctors, nurses, and educators that impacted his life over the years.
Family will greet relatives and friends from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 7th, 2024 and 9:30 a.m until about 10:50 a.m. on Saturday, June 8th, 2024 at Grace Community Church, 9920 Reed Road, Howard City, MI 49329. The funeral service celebrating Matt's life will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 8th, 2024, at Grace Community Church. Luncheon to follow at church. Private family burial at Woodville Cemetery.
To those who may feel compelled, donations can be made in Matt's memory through NBIA Disorders Association and the Make A Wish Foundation.
