Matthew S. Webber, 58, of Watervliet, passed away unexpectedly, with his wife by his side, on September 20, 2024 at Corewell Health Lakeland in St. Joseph.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on November 9, 2024 at Word For Life Church of God: 7022 E. Michigan Ave.; Kalamazoo, MI 49048, with Pastor Jeff McNally officiating. Those wishing to leave a message or share a memory with the family online may do so at www.duffieldpastrick.com.
Matt was born June 8, 1966 in Kalamazoo to James and Penelope (Warner) Webber. He married his wife Rhonda (Langdon) on March 26, 1994 and together he provided for and raised five children. Matt was a hardworking, blue-collar man who went from welding to pig farming. He believed family was the most important part of his life. Building miniatures was a passion of his, and he enjoyed making cool little trinkets and wooden objects. What Matt enjoyed most was making someone else's day by gifting them with something he had made or found.
Matt is survived by his wife Rhonda; children Matthew (Amanda) Webber of Ogden, Utah, Myria (Mark) Veal of Watervliet, Carrie Haney of Three Rivers, Steven Webber and James Webber both of Marcellus; siblings Michael Webber and Mark (Cheri) Webber both of Kalamazoo, Mindy (Jeff) McNally of Galesburg, Melissa Kennedy of Kalamazoo, Marty (Lynn) Webber of Mattawan and George (Molly) Webber of Kalamazoo. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father James Russell Webber, mother Penelope Jane Webber and sister Michelle Lynn Carpenter.
