Matthew J. Wiley, 39, of Marysville, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus following a brief illness.
A loving husband, father, son and brother, he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical engineering from Iowa State University and worked as a mechanical engineer with Honda for 14 years. He enjoyed studying aerospace engineering and attended The Vineyard Church in Marysville.
Matthew was born August 27, 1983 in Storm Lake, IA to Bill and Sharon (Sammons) Wiley. On November 28, 2011 in Greensboro, NC, he married his wife of over 11 years, Leah D. Brown. He is survived by his wife, Leah Wiley of Marysville; sons, Andrew Jacob “AJ” and Liam Wiley, both of Marysville; mother and father, Sharon and Wilbert Wiley; and a sister, Christina Lessmeier, all of Missouri; along with other extended family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 P.M. Monday, March 13, 2023 at Wilson Funeral Home, Mannasmith Chapel. A funeral service will immediately follow beginning at 7:00 P.M. Rev. Conrad Esh will officiate and burial will be held at a later date. If desired, memorial contributions can be made to The Vineyard, in care of the funeral home.
