Matthew Shane Woods, born on July 22, 1976, in Winter Garden, Florida, passed away peacefully at his residence in Weirsdale, Florida, on October 3, 2025. He was a cherished member of his community and is remembered for his unwavering resolve, kindness, and his deep commitment to family and friends. Matt attended Apopka High School and went on to establish himself as a successful entrepreneur, owning Central Florida Textures, where he dedicated himself to his craft and his clients with an unparalleled work ethic. Throughout his career, he exemplified the traits of loyalty, honesty, and ambition, leaving an enduring impression on everyone he worked with.

Known for his generous spirit, Matt was always supportive of those around him and stood steadfastly for his beliefs. He had a unique blend of qualities that made him truly one of a kind-his stubbornness was matched only by his sense of humor, which brought joy to countless moments spent with those he loved. Matt had a variety of interests, including a passion for truck pulling and an enthusiasm for acquiring tools of every size. He greatly valued gatherings with family and friends, creating memories that will be cherished for years to come. Matt is survived by his loving family and numerous friends who will miss his vibrant personality and generous heart. He leaves behind a legacy of integrity, determination, and warmth.

Matt is survived by his wife, Nicole Woods; children, Tate Woods and Emily Woods; mother, Sandra Woods; siblings, Chris Woods and Tammy Laws; and a host of nieces and nephews.

A public viewing will be held at 10 AM on October 11, 2025, followed by a funeral service at the Hiers-Baxley Life Event Center, located at 3975 Wedgewood Lane, The Villages, FL 32162, at 11 AM on the same day. All who knew Matt are invited to pay their respects and celebrate his life.

After funeral service everyone is invited to go to the Woods' residence at 16225 SE 170th Ave. Weirsdale FL 32195 for food and sharing memories of Matt. Bringing a side dish is welcome but not necessary.

His family welcomes condolences and memories at this difficult time, as they honor a man who touched so many lives with his indomitable spirit.
