Wade Funeral Home & Crematory - ArlingtonMatthew David Worley, beloved son, brother, and friend, entered into eternal life on September 16, 2025, in Arlington, Texas, at the age of 40. Born on June 26, 1985, in Dallas, Texas, Matt was a radiant presence in the lives of all who knew him—a source of strength, light, and unwavering love.
Matt was the cherished son of William D. and Marcia K. Worley, and the beloved younger brother of Zachary R. Worley. He grew up in Arlington, where he graduated from Lamar High School. Though life presented him with profound challenges, including a lifelong journey with cerebral palsy, Matt never let his condition define him. Instead, he defined his life by courage, joy, and a deep love for those around him.
Throughout countless visits to doctors, therapists, and hospitals, Matt faced each day with grace, humor, and a smile that had the rare power to turn sorrow into joy. His resilience was awe-inspiring; his spirit, unshakable. To those fortunate enough to know him, Matt was not only a fighter—he was a beacon of hope, reminding us all of the strength found in kindness, the bravery in persistence, and the beauty in simply being present.
Matt found joy in life’s simple pleasures: gliding through the water while swimming, listening to his favorite music, and taking rides in his van. But above all else, Matt loved spending time with his family and friends. Being surrounded by those he loved—and who loved him deeply in return—was his greatest joy.
Matt’s life was a gift from God. He touched more lives than he could have ever known, and the love he shared with others will echo far beyond his time here. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who were lucky enough to be part of his extraordinary journey.
A celebration of Matt’s life will be held at Wade Family Funeral Home on October 4th, 2025.
Though Matt has left this world, his spirit continues to inspire. He taught us how to live with courage, love without limits, and smile—no matter the day.
Rest peacefully, Matt. Your light remains.
In Loving Memory
I Miss You Always
Son
My heart has been left broken
Since the day you had to go
And the memories I treasure dearly
Are in the tears that still flow
You're in my thoughts everyday
And that's how it will always be
For you may be up in Heaven now
But you'll always be with me
If only I could have the chance
To see your face once more
Or to hear your voice one final time
Just like it was before
The day that Heaven calls for me
Will be a relief from all this pain
I'll run to you with open arms
And we will meet again
