Matthew Farris Yeager
December 23, 1968 ~ April 25, 2022
Matthew Farris Yeager, age 53 passed away on Monday, April 25. 2022 in Ogden, Utah. Matthew was born on December 23, 1968 in Salt Lake City, UT.
Matthew married Sanom Yeager Pangthong on May 3, 2021.
Matthew attended school in the Jordan School District and then attended West Valley Community College. Matthew was a truck driver for many years. He drove dump trucks, loaders, and worked on construction equipment throughout the United States. He was a fun filled man and would drop whatever he was doing to help a friend or neighbor. He always found some good in everyone. He was always a prankster of sorts.
From a father's point of view, Matthew was a curious boy, always wanted to know how things worked and took things apart to satisfy his thirst for knowledge.
His wife says Matt was a good person and her family loved him very much.
Matthew is survived by his wife, Sanom Yeager Pangthong; father, James Yeager; stepmother, Marion Yeager; brothers, Wilford Yeager and Jason Yeager; sisters, Laura Peterson, Sarah Rogers, and Mary Yeager; and children, Kenny Yeager, Becca Blankenstein, Ashley McWhorter, and Zack Winnie and grandchildren. He has been reunited with his son, Joshua Yeager and his mother, Eileen Yeager.
Matthew will be cremated. There will be a small gathering of family and friends on Saturday, April 30, 2022 from 3 to 5 p.m. at Rohmer Park, 5100 South 600 West, north end, Washington Terrace, UT 84405 at the Pavilion on the north side of the park.
