Mattie came into this world on June 24, 1961, and departed July 17,

2025. She lived a life full of love, joy, humor, generosity, care, and

compassion not just for her family but those in her community as

well. For over two decades, Mattie dedicated her career to serving

the elderly in the healthcare industry. She will be remembered by

her joyous spirit, protective instinct and kind heart. She touched

the hearts of many, leaving behind cherished memories that will

live in the hearts of all who knew her.

Mattie is preceded in death by her mother (Alice Leno Crow), three

brothers (Raymond Clark Jr., Charles Clark, George S. Clark), two

sisters (Beverly A. Slan and Patricia R. Clark), husband (Walter

Jones), and nephew (Erin Clark).

She leaves behind her two remaining siblings Jeannette Yon

(Winfield) and Perry Clark. Nieces and nephews Daisy A. Gilbert,

Gerald Campbell (Sylvia), Tootie Franklin, Erica Yon (Kesha), Kyrist

Yon, Kira Yon, and Sabrina Williamson. Great nieces and nephews

Michael Walker, Tyrese Gilbert, Javaris Gilbert, Gerisha Campbell,

Josh'Sheirri Campbell, Jah'Darian Campbell, Gerald Campbell, Jr.,

Brandon Compton, Jr., Josh Ingram, Kyrist Yon Jr., Ennoncence Yon,

Malakai Yon, Ky'mir Yon, Giovanna Yon, Kyrin Yon, Sier Yon, Karis

Yon, Kyrell Yon, Onesi Yon, Ahmiya Yarn, Aria-Star Yon, Salena Wil-

liamson, and Demetria Bryant. Mattie also leaves behind her dear

friend, David Rose. Although Mattie did not have any children of

her own, she was a mother figure to all of her nieces and nephews.

Mattie no longer walks beside us, but she will forever be remem-

bered in our hearts. Let us celebrate the life she lived and the time

she spent with us. Keeping her memory alive through the way we

love each other.
