Maureen Elizabeth King

Sadly, on Monday, April 17, 2023, Maureen Elizabeth King, of Kent, NY, passed away peacefully at the age of 94.
Maureen was born on March 21, 1929 in Greenwich, CT to John and Eileen (Duffy) Watson. She married the love of her life, Calvin Ora King Sr., in Mt. Vernon on May 1, 1948 and they were blessed with five wonderful children.
Maureen was very proud of the work she did both as a bookkeeper and as a homemaker. She worked as a bookkeeper for the Nestlé Company in White Plains, NY for many years. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and took great pride in caring for her family. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren who she adored and who brought her tremendous joy. Maureen was an avid reader and she loved watching old western movies, especially any with "the Duke" (John Wayne) starring in them.
Maureen is predeceased by her beloved husband, Calvin King Sr., who passed away in 2002 and her son, Calvin Ora King Jr. who passed away in 1994. She is survived by her dearly loved children, Richard King (Veronica), Deborah King O'Neill (Brenda), Jacqueline K. Carl (Ronald) and Joseph Howard King (Regina). Her grandchildren, Richard Jr., Kelly, Victoria, Ronald Jr., Janelle, JJ, Sara, Erin and two great grandchildren, Connor and Lucas also survive her.
She will be missed by everyone who knew her.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Cargain Funeral Homes Inc., 10 Fowler Avenue, Carmel, NY.
A Funeral Service to Honor and Celebrate Maureen Elizabeth's Life, will take place during the visitation at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, Cargain Funeral Homes Inc., Carmel, NY.
Following the services, a private cremation will take place.
