Anthony Passafiume Obituary

Anthony emigrated to the United States in 1961, settling in Bronx, NY before moving to Mahopac 6 years ago. He was a baker and entrepreneur since the age of 18. Anthony enjoyed gardening and served as an usher at St. John the Evangelist Church in Mahopac where he is a parishioner.
On April 22, 1972 he married Sebastiana Brancato in Sicily. Sebastiana survives at home in Mahopac. He is also survived by his son, Dominick and his wife, Marisa of Shrub Oak, NY; his daughters, Rosa Conelli and her husband, Peter of Mahopac and Mary Bianco and her husband, Michael of Carmel, NY and his seven beloved grandchildren, Anthony, Joy, Matthew, Katie, Emma, Julia and Christian. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Frank.
Visiting will take place on Sunday, July 27 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at Joseph J. Smith Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, July 28 at 10 am at St. John the Evangelist Church, Mahopac with entombment to follow at the Rosewood Mausoleum of Ferncliff Cemetery, Hartsdale, NY.
Family and friends are making donations in memory of Anthony to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, a charity that was dear to Anthony's heart.
