Maureen Paddock, a cherished wife, mother, sister, and grandmother, has passed away after a 4 year battle with cancer on August 6, 2025 in New Port Richey, Florida. She was just days shy of her 83rd birthday. Born on August 13, 1942, in Grays, England, Maureen brought laughter, creativity, and an adventurous spirit to all who knew her.
Throughout her life, Maureen wore many hats. As the eldest of 8 children, Maureen spent her younger years at her mother's side helping raise her younger siblings after her father's untimely death. As a young adult, she worked as a switch board operator in London, England, for an international shipping company, connecting people all over the world in an era before digital communication. Later, she pursued a career as a pharmacy technician. She spent her first 35 years in England before meeting her husband Harold (Hal) Paddock in Tilbury, England. It was a whirlwind romance and they were married shortly after. They soon welcomed daughter Nicola.
After moving across the pond from England to the United States, they welcomed a second daughter Caroline. Maureen continued traveling with her husband and family, across the Americas and Europe. Later in life she developed a love of cruising which took her to many Ports of the world. In addition to traveling, Maureen's passions were redesigning homes, reading, talking about her grandchildren, and weekly trips to the local thrift stores.
Together with her beloved husband of 48 years, Maureen embarked on numerous adventures, included living in several different areas of the United States, lovingly renovating each of their homes. Her favorite being their home in Daytona Beach, Florida, where they spent most days on the beach running their beach rental business.
Maureen will continue to be loved fiercely and will be greatly missed. She is survived by her husband Harold(Hal), daughters; Nicola (son in-law Joe) Johnson and Caroline Paddock, grandson; Tyler Johnson, granddaughters; Paige and Isabelle Johnson, sister; Ann (Dave Good), brothers; Jonathan (Eileen), Robert (Angela) and James Tidswell, sister in law; Margaret (Paddock) Brown and many nieces and nephews.

Maureen enjoyed many adventures in her life, and if you were lucky to have met her, you were instantly drawn to her charisma, intelligence, and humor. She was a natural story teller, the kind that would leave you laughing with tears.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in Minnesota and England where family and friends will gather to honor her Memory. Her larger than life and cheeky spirit will forever be in our hearts. We will miss her love of life, laughter and her smile the most.
